Veronica Silvers and Ryan Robbins’ Whimsical Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Sarah Libby Photography
Veronica and Ryan first met in college where they were always around each other because they were both involved in Greek life. They became friends after one of Veronica’s sorority events, and even though Ryan immediately was interested in her, she didn’t feel the same way in the beginning. They began going to church together and built a good friendship, but Ryan knew that they were meant to be, so he didn’t give up. After visiting the Dallas Zoo together, something in Veronica’s mind switched. The couple is glad that Ryan never gave up on wanting to be with Veronica, and they are thankful they started their real love story in God’s timing.
Ryan decided to propose to Veronica and enlisted the help of her best friend. Veronica and her friend went to the Aloft Hotel for a fake business event where there were signs leading them to the rooftop floor. When they got off the elevator, Veronica’s father was waiting for them and took her around the corner where all of their friends and family were standing. Her stepdad then took her other arm and led her out the doors onto the rooftop where Ryan was standing. Everyone stayed inside as Ryan proposed in the sweetest way, and after Veronica said yes, they had a big celebration on the rooftop!
On July 30, 2016, Veronica made her way down the aisle in a gorgeous Rosa Clará gown and large drop Swarovski earrings. The whimsically classic wedding was held at The Manor at Coffee Creek and was beautiful with neutral colors as well as blush pink, champagne sparkle, and hints of black and white stripes. The couple began with their first dance to “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran and continued dancing all night. The couple incorporated many fun things to complete the whimsical theme, such as a photo booth, donut hole bar, and a black and white checkered dance floor. Guests departed with delicious pink cotton candy as wedding favors.
After the ceremony, Veronica and Ryan honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The couple currently lives in Edmond, where Veronica is a kindergarten teacher and Ryan is a consultant.
