The Wedding Day
Anh and Alex’s spring wedding in Oklahoma City was a beautiful blend of intentional details, cultural tradition, and heartfelt celebration. “We were very thoughtful about every part of our wedding day, and that made a huge difference,” the couple shared.
Their outdoor ceremony featured a stunning floral altar adorned with multi-colored blooms by Poppy Lane Design. Florals were a central design element, from the bride’s ensemble to the intricate floral accents on their gorgeous cake by Amy Cakes.
Marianne’s Rentals helped bring their elegant reception vision to life with timeless décor. The groom looked sharp in a custom suit from William & Lauren Custom Clothier, and after exchanging rings from Mitchell’s Jewelry, the newlyweds celebrated with loved ones, dancing the night away with entertainment by All Out DJ.
A Favorite Memory
“Our first look was probably one of the most beautiful and memorable moments of the day as we got to share that time with each other with butterflies in our stomachs! I remember feeling so nervous and excited at the same time as I tapped Alex’s shoulder to ask him to turn around. We loved having that calming time to ourselves before the ceremony, too. It was particularly memorable because after we enjoyed that moment and had some of our photos taken, we found my bridesmaids peeking through a nearby window, and they got to see the entire moment!!”
Keeping Tradition Alive
“We celebrated my Chinese culture by hosting a tea ceremony at our wedding. Throughout the ceremony, I got emotional getting to see my family and honoring them, especially our older relatives who made the long trip to come and celebrate with us. The tea ceremony was a perfect, intimate ceremony between us and our families, and we couldn’t imagine not including this pivotal celebration as a part of our wedding day!” – Anh & Alex
