Week after week, our team has the joy of receiving and sharing stunning weddings from across Oklahoma, all thanks to the incredibly talented vendors and wonderful couples who submit their celebrations to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one standout wedding to spotlight — a day that truly shines for its creativity, personality, and unforgettable details.
This month, we’re thrilled to feature Emily & Carpenter’s Parham Royale Wedding. The couple tied the knot in Oklahoma City on October 4th, and their celebration was nothing short of a wow from start to finish.
The Wedding Weekend
Before we dive into the big day, we have to rewind to where the celebration began. The weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at Lively Hotel on Oak, which perfectly matched the wedding’s playful, Palm Royale-inspired vibe. Guests stayed either at Lively Hotel on Oak or The Ellison, a chic boutique hotel in OKC and a great option for out-of-town loved ones.
Pro tip: inviting your photographer to the rehearsal dinner is always worth it. Kristen Edwards Photography captured not only the magic of Emily & Carpenter’s wedding day, but also the meaningful moments and excitement leading up to it.

Guests were also invited to shop the couple’s thoughtfully curated registry at Bebe’s, a favorite local destination for elevated entertaining and home pieces.
The Wedding Day
Emily & Carpenter’s wedding was inspired by a clever play on their last name, Parham, which sparked the Palm Royale–themed celebration. Drawing from the bride’s love of vintage Palm Beach chic (think The Colony Hotel), the design featured palm trees, chinoiserie accents, zebra and elephant backdrops, vibrant pops of pink and green, and even a pool-inspired dance floor.
The details were equally impressive. Amy Cakes created a classic five-tier wedding cake with vintage piping, alongside an eye-catching groom’s cake inspired by the Sooners stadium. Mood Events designed custom décor and rental pieces, including the custom beach ball chandelier and custom cabanas, while Stay Gold Event Rentals added personalized touches like the photo booth backdrop. Magpie brought the vision together with table rentals, signage, bar details, and custom drink stir sticks. To keep the pool party energy alive, entertainment was provided by Box Talent, who had guests dancing all night long.
A Moment for the Groom
Carpenter looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo from Teena Hicks Company, paired with a black bow tie and velvet loafers. His look was finished with a gold wedding band from BC Clark, perfectly complementing the timeless style of the day.
Bride’s Favorite Moment
“Everything about the day could be my favorite memory. Walking into the venue and seeing a year of planning come to life was incredible, and I was truly in awe of how amazing everything looked. One specific moment was bringing out the Braum’s with the venue staff wearing Braum’s aprons and watching our guests go wild! Another favorite was singing Lucky by Britney Spears with the band alongside my husband. It’s so hard to choose just one!”

Emily & Carpenter’s Parham Royale Wedding was a joyful blend of personality, style, and celebration — a perfect example of how thoughtful details and a playful theme can create a wedding day guests will never forget.
