The Wedding Day

Katelyn & Colby’s Valentine’s Day weekend wedding at The Bower was a romantic celebration full of heart—literally and figuratively! Planned by Embellished Weddings, their day embraced the holiday with a timeless pink and red palette, beginning with a heart-adorned invitation suite by Paper + More. They said “I do” beneath a clear tent on the venue’s scenic grounds, setting the tone for an unforgettable day.

The reception was just as dreamy, featuring a hanging floral installation by Poppy Lane Design above a custom monogrammed dance floor from Marianne’s Rentals. Guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks from Abbey Road Catering and danced the night away thanks to Box Talent. A beautiful cake by Amy Cakes was the cherry on top of the sweet celebration. Snowfall during the evening made for stunning portraits captured by Kristen Edwards Photography. As a sweet lead-in to the big day, QS Culinary catered the rehearsal dinner—setting the stage for a weekend full of love and celebration. The couple also registered locally with BC Clark, making it easy for guests to celebrate them meaningfully.

A Favorite Memory

”Our favorite memory was running through the snow with our planner and photographer to capture golden hour couple photos. We were all laughing and having so much fun. Advice from the Couple

When asked what they learned from planning their wedding, Katelyn & Colby emphasized the importance of having a weather backup plan—especially for outdoor events. “When snow began softly falling on the beautiful clear tent during our vows, we were especially grateful that our planner, Keely with Embellished Weddings, had encouraged us to prepare for the unexpected,” they shared. What could have been a last-minute scramble turned into a truly magical moment, proving that flexibility (and a great planner!) can turn surprises into unforgettable memories.
