Wioleta Rydlewska and Matt Garner’s Pretty Pink Wedding at The Mayo
Wioleta and Matthew met in early spring of 2013 in Warsaw, Poland. Because of his job with ConocoPhillips, Matt had the opportunity to move halfway across the world to Poland from Oklahoma. One night when he was hanging out at his friend’s apartment, Wioleta walked in. Pleasantly surprised to meet Wioleta, Matt kindly introduced himself to her, beginning what became a relationship filled with many lifelong memories of traveling together.
During their travels, Matt knew there was something special about his relationship with Wioleta. After moving back to the United States, during a trip back to Poland, Matt asked Wioleta’s parents for her hand in marriage. Affirming his hope to marry her, Wioleta’s parents gave Matt a resoundingly warm, “Yes!”
Taking a trip to Scotland, Wioleta and Matt went to visit the historic Stirling Castle. Matt walked to the edge of the castle overlooking the William Wallace Monument where he got down on one knee, proposing to Wioleta. She replied by saying, “Tak,” which means “yes” in Polish.
On April 16, 2016, the couple was married at the historic Mayo Hotel in Tulsa. Wioleta walked down the aisle in a gorgeous bridal gown designed by Maggie Sottero Amarosa. The ivory- and champagne-colored dress with lace overlay was a strapless fit and flare with a lovely beaded neckline. Instead of signing a traditional guestbook, attendees of the wedding signed a globe representing the couple’s love for traveling. After saying their vows, the happy couple walked down the aisle together with smiling faces, creating a memory they would remember forever.
To conclude the memorable day, the reception was filled with music from Zach Downing Entertainment. After the reception, the couple was once again traveling. They spent their blissful honeymoon at Sandals Resort in Montego Bay Jamaica, and then traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, were they now reside.
