A Woodsy Romantic Engagement Session at Southwind Hills

This romantic engagement session was held at Southwind Hills, where the couple plan to tie the knot in a few months! Destiny and Tanner’s love story captured by Kayley Haulmark Photography in this flawless gallery feels like a slipping into your favorite pair of jeans – just right. The pair first met during Destiny’s freshman year and Tanner’s sophomore year of high school. As the story goes, he was a football player, she was a cheerleader, and the rest is history! Now, almost eight years later, they are ready to say “I do!” In effortlessly elegant shots around the property at Southwind Hills where they plan to be wed in April of 2021, Destiny and Tanner pose in both casual and formal attire. The two plan for a celebration in shades of light blue, navy, and lots of greenery upholding an air of simplistic romance. Destiny says that out of all the details in her upcoming nuptials, though, she is most excited about one aspect in particular: the people around her. “One of my favorite details of our upcoming wedding is FINALLY getting to celebrate with the people who have loved us and supported us from high school to now,” Destiny says. We love the idea of weddings bringing loved ones together and that’s exactly what this romantic engagement session makes us want to do, too! Read on to hear the story of how Tanner popped the question to his soon-to-be bride. Cheers to Destiny and Tanner!

From the bride: “After being together eight years, I know Tanner like the back of my hand. I thought there was no way he would pull off proposing without me knowing it was coming, but man was I wrong. I am in Physician Assistant school and was away on a clinical rotation when Tanner’s job was moving buildings to the downtown area. Tanner had me come back one weekend for his company’s ‘welcome to the new building’ party. We were supposed to meet some of his buddies for drinks before, and we were running early so Tanner wanted to go walk around Myriad Gardens. Next thing I know, Tanner is down on one knee proposing! I was so surprised I couldn’t quit shaking. He pulled it off flawlessly. Afterward, he had all of our closest friends and family waiting for us at The Jones Assembly to celebrate!”
