This July, some of the best in the local wedding industry came together for an unforgettable celebration of connection and community. Hosted by Wed Society Oklahoma, our annual Connect Events in Oklahoma City and Tulsa brought wedding pros together for two lively mornings filled with incredible food, curated cocktails, vibrant entertainment, and—most importantly—connection. Designed to inspire conversation and collaboration, these exclusive gatherings are all about celebrating the talented vendors who make Oklahoma’s wedding scene so special. Read on as we recap these amazing events and the incredible vendor team that brought them to life!
Oklahoma City Connect Event
Planned by the oh-so-talented Borrowed Charm, this year’s OKC event was held at the stylish Lively Hotel on OAK, where wedding pros gathered to mix, mingle, and of course, connect. The space bloomed with lush floral arrangements by Cariad Blooms. Borrowed Charm added character and style with thoughtful rentals, from chic lounge furniture and candlelit centerpieces to custom stage décor, backdrops that perfectly framed the panel, bistro tables, bar, and more. Party Perfect Event Rentals helped bring the vision to life with essential pieces like the stage, linens, plates, napkins, and guest seating that tied the entire design together beautifully.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by upbeat tunes from All Out DJ and delicious bites and sips courtesy of Lively Hotel’s in-house catering and bar team. For a sweet touch, custom cookies from Royal Cookie Co. were the perfect treat. To spark connection, guests jumped into a fun networking bingo game, completing tasks for a chance to win custom hats from Patina Rose Hattery. Meanwhile, EndlessVows.Co offered complimentary professional headshots and captured all the gorgeous event details throughout the day.
The event wrapped up with an inspiring expert panel featuring Angie from Borrowed Charm, John from John Bunn Films + Photo, Kelly from Poppy Lane Design, and Lauren from William & Lauren Custom Clothier. Moderated by our Community Manager, Chloe Philpott, the panel dove into timely industry topics like evolving client expectations, brand identity, day-of collaboration, and intentional steps to improve your business.
Tulsa Connect Event
Next up, Tulsa! This event was held at The Venue at Woodbridge Ranch, a picturesque backdrop that offered the perfect mix of charm and elegance. Borrowed Charm once again flawlessly handled planning and design, and also brought gorgeous décor elements like the stage arbor and decor, candlelit centerpieces, dessert displays, and cozy lounge seating on stage. Their fun touches, from lattice walls to tabletop candles, gave the space an inviting feel.
Party Perfect Event Rentals rounded out the look with beautiful rentals including linens, glassware, chairs, place settings, and fun lounge vignettes throughout the venue. From stylish barstools to entry tables and even Moscow Mule mugs – every detail was perfect!
Cariad Blooms added textured, colorful touches through florals that wowed, and Shelby Lenee Photography was there to capture every little detail of the morning.
Prossimo Ristorante delivered a delicious brunch spread and handcrafted cocktails, while Ignite the Night kept the energy high with great music throughout the event. Guests left with a sweet treat from Merritt’s Bakery and a chance to win another fabulous custom hat from Patina Rose Hattery!
The panel in Tulsa was equally inspiring, featuring Angie from Borrowed Charm, Callie from The Flower Shop Pryor, John from John Bunn Films + Photo, and Elizabeth from La Mariée Boutique. From upcoming trends to the timeline of wedding dress shopping, each speaker offered honest insights and practical takeaways for today’s wedding professional.
We couldn’t have brought these events to life without the help of our amazing vendor teams in OKC and Tulsa. Your talent, creativity, and professionalism made these Connect Events not only possible, but memorable in every way.
Thank you to each and every one of you for contributing to the magic. Until next year!
