Sterling and Jordan met when they were just sixteen years old in a high school science class during their sophomore year. Jordan was too scared to talk to her recalling the most they ever discussed was, “Can I borrow a pen?” Before they had the chance to get to know one another, Sterling moved to Edmond.
Years later, Sterling’s best friend, who was mutual friends with Jordan, invited her to Jordan’s New Year’s Eve party. Sterling and Jordan reconnected that night and realized how much they had in common. As the clock came down to seconds from midnight, Sterling hoped to be Jordan’s New Year’s kiss. As she puckered up and leaned in, he was shocked and didn’t understand what was happening. He nervously put his hand in the air and gave her a high five instead. Luckily, months later he realized they had something special and asked her to be his girlfriend the following Valentine’s Day.
Three years later, Jordan proposed at The Mayo Hotel where they would later get married. Immediately following the proposal, the couple booked the venue and set their wedding date for October 25, 2014. After a year of planning, the couple’s friends and family from all over came to witness Sterling and Jordan’s special day. It was beautiful and everything Sterling had dreamed of for her wedding day. The couple is happily married and expecting their first baby December 2015!
