Music was extremely instrumental at the beginning of Alex and Mitch’s relationship. Mitch was playing guitar with Alex’s roommate for their band rehearsal at Alex’s apartment. Once he met Alex, he asked for band practice to always be at her apartment. They became casual friends but parted ways as college went on. When Alex walked into her first day of PA school, she saw Mitch sitting in the front row and they immediately became study buddies. Their study group slowly turned into one-on-one study sessions and that’s where they started to fall in love.
Mitch set up a romantic scavenger hunt to celebrate Alex’s birthday. The hunt led Alex to a number of meaningful places in their relationship before ending at the place where it all began – the PA classroom. The room was filled with candles, twinkle lights, rose petals and live music. After dancing together, Mitch got down on one knee and popped the question. The proposal was followed by a night with family and friends at a surprise engagement party.
