When you live in California, planning a moody forest fairytale in Oklahoma can be challenging. However, with the help of Embellished Weddings, Claire and Anthony’s forest fairytale came to life at The Baumberhof. Claire met her British husband, Anthony, while attending college in California. The summer after meeting, Claire and her sister took a trip to Europe. Since Anthony is from the UK, Claire asked him to crash one night at his parents’ house. When Claire returned to campus after her European travels, the two began spending more time together. Eventually, Anthony asked Claire out and proposed to her on a surprise trip to Big Sur.
The California residents began planning their moody forest fairytale in Claire’s home state of Oklahoma. The Baumberhof provided the perfect magical forest for the couple to say their “I do’s.” Their wedding day began with something Oklahomans are quite familiar with… tractors. The couple had small tractors pull trailers that transported guests down into the forest. Claire made sure that Anthony’s family and friends from England got a heavy dose of Oklahoma while they were there. We just think this is the cutest idea! The couple’s fairytale forest ceremony made both the bride and groom get emotional. As Claire walked down the aisle in an elegant gown from Bella Rose Bridal with a natural hair and makeup look from Brushed Salon and Makeup Studio, Anthony began to cry. Claire also began to cry as she looked down the aisle to her husband to be waiting for her. Family and friends watched as the two professed their love to one another with heartfelt vows that they wrote. After an emotional ceremony, the couple and guests made their way up to the barn at The Baumberhof. Inside the barn, decor and rentals from Mood Party Rentals transformed the rustic space into an absolute fairytale. A floral chandelier from Poppy Lane Design hung above the dance floor, where guests enjoyed cocktails from Blue Label Bartending and lots of dancing. After the couple cut the cake from Amy Cakes, it was time for them to enjoy their last dance, just the two of them. After their last dance and grand exit, Claire and Anthony headed to the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel. We love all the details in this moody forest fairytale, and we know you will too. From the bride on her favorite memory: “My favorite memory was having our last dance by ourselves while everyone else lined up outside for the farewell. It felt so nice for it to be just us and for us to be in the space that was so filled with love and celebration.”
