Amber Odetallah and Michael Pierce’s Rustic Elegant Oklahoma Wedding at Southwind Hills
Amber and Michael met in high school and began dating after Michael’s freshman year of college. After dating through college at Oklahoma State University, they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
Amber and Michael always have a private Christmas celebration to exchange gifts with one another, so going out for a nice dinner the day after Christmas didn’t seem out of the ordinary. After dinner in downtown Oklahoma City, Michael suggested they go for a walk along the Oklahoma City canal to look at Christmas lights. At the end of the walkway, in front of a lit up waterfall, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was the perfect proposal that truly fit their relationship. Of course she said yes!
The couple married on June 25, 2016, at Southwind Hills. Amber walked down the aisle in an ivory Pnina Tornai gown that featured a beaded corset top and a flowing chiffon skirt. The wedding had a theme of rustic elegance highlighted with soft ivory linens, gold decor and pops of purple flowers. One of Amber’s favorite memories from their day was her mother walking her down the aisle to Michael; it was a special moment with two of the most important people in her life. The couple’s first dance was to the song “Who I Am With You” by Chris Young.
After a night of fun with friends and family, the newlyweds left for their honeymoon in the Bahamas. They currently live in Edmond with their two dogs.
