An Intimate Fairytale Wedding Full of Romantic Details

Kadey and Joe didn’t let COVID-19 stop their intimate fairytale wedding, and its size certainly didn’t affect its stunning style! Their story began when the pair first met at a local public library where Kadey worked at the time. She would shelve books in the evenings after her classes and he would read at one of the tables after he got off work. Their eyes would meet occasionally meet until one day they finally both felt like they just had to talk to each other! With a romance straight out of a storybook, it made perfect sense that their wedding looked like one too! Bride Kadey looked absolutely radiant in a beaded bodice gown with her hair styled in a braided updo by Brushed Salon and Makeup Studio. Romance was certainly in the air and this couple opted for a breathtaking flower wall made up of large, fluffy blush-colored roses, which they chose because the first bouquet Joe gave Kadey was of beautiful pink roses. Bride and groom greeted guests and danced the night away, but made sure to sneak over to Amy Lee Illustration to get their portrait sketched for the cutest and most unique wedding memento. After that it was cake cutting time, and Sweet Devotion Cakery made sure this was a moment to remember – a whimsical three-tiered design, as well as an incredibly realistic industrial groom’s cake, were both a huge hit. Plenty of details made us swoon throughout their elegant affair but we are happiest to see love find a way, even in a pandemic! Read on for a note from the bride about some of her favorite wedding details and the amazing vendors that brought their intimate fairytale wedding to life. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Lucas!

From the bride: “The cakes were a major highlight of the evening! Angela, at Sweet Devotion Cakery, made us a stunning three-tiered lavender cake in our blush and blue wedding colors. But she really made our jaws drop with the steampunk groom’s cake she created! It featured edible gears, nails, and a three-dimensional open panel and key. When we needed a break from dancing, Amy Lee Illustration sketched our portraits. Amy’s personality lit up her sketch table, and our guests were totally wowed by her incredible artwork and these unique souvenirs!”
