Kevin was so excited that the cute intern had come to his side of the office one Wednesday afternoon that he ran back to his desk for a chance to talk to her. He was trying to figure out something funny to say to get her attention. When Rachel walked by, she commented on a sign he had hanging in his cube from the TV show “The Office” and he was hooked. He finally got the courage to ask her out to dinner, and she said yes.

Rachel and Kevin were spending Christmas with family in Turks & Caicos and one Christmas tradition would end up being life changing for Rachel. Her family always let the person who found the pickle-shaped ornament open the first gift of the season. This year, her siblings tried to help Rachel win and only pretended to search for the ornament. After finding the prize, Rachel received the best gift – Kevin got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.
