Ballroom Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Ely Fair Photography | Kristin + Hayden

Kristin and Hayden met through the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The two were first acquaintances, but during a class party, their mutual friends pestered Hayden into striking up a conversation with Kristin. The two shared objections about dating a classmate, but found it almost impossible to stay away from each other. Kristin and Hayden kept their flourishing romance a secret, yet were ultimately unable to hide their abiding love!

For Hayden’s birthday, Kristin was under the impression that she was taking him out to dinner to celebrate. As they returned to her house after the festivities, Kristin stumbled upon a gorgeous bouquet of flowers in her kitchen. As she turned around, Hayden was on one knee! He then gave her a card where he wrote all the things he wanted to say but could not out of nerves. Hayden chose the kitchen as the proposal spot because it was the same room where the two fell in love during the night of their class party. Of course Kristin said yes!

Kristin and Hayden’s wedding contained a mix of neutral blush, ivory, light pinks and champagne with navy and gold accents. Kristin wanted something simple and classic with a pop of modern radiance. The bride wore a fit and flare ivory lace gown designed by Impression Bridal, which featured a deep sweetheart bust line, a beaded belt at the waist and a chapel-length train with delicate beading on the edge, which bustled into a waterfall bustle for the reception. One of the couple’s favorite memories from the wedding was dancing to “Sweet Thing,” the couple’s first dance song, after guests had left the reception. Kristin and Hayden wanted to soak in a moment of solitude and value their new marriage before the night was over.

Kristin and Hayden spent their honeymoon in Boston, Massachusetts, and now reside in Oklahoma City.
