Beautiful Beach Destination Wedding Captured by Amanda Watson Photography | Mary Cathryn + Josh
March 31
Mary Cathryn and Josh’s relationship began after meeting through Match.com. One Sunday after church, Mary Cathryn’s mom talked her into creating a profile. After submitting her membership, she saw Josh’s profile and couldn’t take her eyes off his dimples. So worried she wouldn’t find him on the website again, she clicked a button she thought would save his information, but instead it instantly alerted Josh. Mary Cathryn was on Match.com less than 24 hours and the rest is history.
After almost two years, Josh knew Mary Cathryn was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. While in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, on a snowshoeing adventure, Josh got down on one knee and told her exactly how he felt and popped the question. She of course said yes and they immediately began planning their fabulous wedding.
September 26, 2015, came quickly and their day was everything the couple dreamt it would be. The theme of the wedding was simply sweet/beach casual, which was fitting since the wedding was hosted in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The colors they used throughout the ceremony and reception fit perfectly as well – shades of mint, coral, gold and gray.
Mary Cathryn and Josh’s favorite moments included Mary Cathryn dancing with her father to “Always Be Your Baby” by Natalie Grant, and the newlyweds imitating the dance moves from “Dirty Dancing” while dancing to “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
The happy couple now resides in Oklahoma City, and are planning to honeymoon in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, in April.
