Blayke + Brett

Brett had me convinced I was going to a New Year’s Eve party with close friends. All day I was getting ready; I got a tan, my nails done and got all dressed up. A couple of hours before, I got a text from a friend who is also a photographer saying that she had a guy in need of a photographer for his proposal that night and she couldn’t do it because of her work schedule. I politely declined because I already had prior commitments, but she then said that he was desperate and really needed my help, so I agreed. My friends and I rode in the same car to go capture his proposal, then we were going to head straight to the party… little did I know, the guy asking was my now fiancé! As we pulled up, I was messing with the settings on my camera trying to adjust to the light, when I looked up I saw a GORGEOUS arbor with lights and flowers and Brett with his back to us. I was so shocked that the first thing I said to my friend was, “I can’t breathe!” She helped me out of the car and down to where Brett was, he took my hands and poured his heart out… or at least that’s what it sounds like in the video – I was so excited I blacked out and I had to ask him to retell me what he had said as soon as we got in the car! It was the easiest answer of my life, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of time with my best friend!
