Brook Gidney and Adam Solis’ Outdoor Wedding in Downtown OKC by Inspire Events & Design

Brook and Adam first met in 2008 while attending the University of Oklahoma. They were both at a party of a mutual friend, and although they remained close friends for three years, they did not start dating until the fall of 2011. The couple definitely agrees that friendships make the best relationships!

While on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to celebrate the recent nuptials of another couple, Adam wanted to ask Brook to be his wife. On the last night of the trip after dinner, Adam suggested taking a walk along the beach under the moonlight. Another couple met them at the entrance of the resort and offered to take a picture of them. While they were posing, Brook felt Adam shift, and when she looked over, she saw that he was down on one knee with a ring box in hand. Brook immediately started crying and could barely focus on his words because she was so happy and excited. She, of course, said yes, and their friends were able to get the whole proposal on video!

On October 15, 2016, Brook and Adam were married on the Civic Center Music Hall lawn. Brook looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle to meet Adam, and she was so happy to be marrying the man she loves that she shed tears of happiness. The couple incorporated the wine box ceremony into their wedding where they placed heartfelt letters and a bottle of wine into a box. It is only to be opened on their fifth anniversary, and the letters and wine are to be replaced and opened after the next five years, continuing throughout the marriage.

Brook and Adam honeymooned at the Sandals Beach Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and they are currently enjoying married life at their residence in Oklahoma City.
