Cate Skuta and Justin Wright’s Country Club Wedding by Leslie Herring Events Captured by Josh McCullock

On May 10, 2014, Cate graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with no intentions of meeting someone special, especially not her future husband. Meanwhile, Justan was out with friends and spotted Cate hanging out at a local Oklahoma City bar with a few women he knew from Oklahoma State University. Justan was quick to inform Cate that she had just met “Mr. Wright.” Cate claims that she did not fall for his line, but clearly it worked in the end. The rest of the night, the two were inseparable.

Two years later, Justan proposed to Cate on what felt like the top of the world. He reserved a room on the top floor of the 50-story Devon Tower and asked for her hand in marriage. To this day, the couple still debates whether Cate had time to say yes before he put the ring on her finger. After the proposal, the couple enjoyed a night of wine and dessert at Vast before calling their family and friends.

Cate enjoyed every minute of planning the wedding with her mom. Hiring Leslie Herring Events for wedding planning was the best decision they made. It made the process less stressful and allowed them to focus on the fun parts of wedding planning.

Cate and Justan’s elegant wedding was held on April 8, 2017, at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City. Planning an outdoor wedding in Oklahoma can be risky. However, despite the Oklahoma wind, it was a beautiful, warm day. Cate and Justan enjoyed a perfect evening, surrounded by family and friends.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Jamaica. They now reside in Oklahoma City.
