Paige and Michael met through mutual friends in the summer of 2012. Paige had just finished her undergrad at Oklahoma State University and Michael was beginning his second year of law school at the University of Oklahoma. Despite their academic rivalries, the pair started dating that fall.

Paige always hoped her proposal would be intimate and unexpected. That is exactly what she got when Michael proposed during their first Christmas celebration together. When he went to get Paige’s present, he returned to her and got down on one knee. Of course she said yes!

On April 11, 2015, Julia Paige Pantlik married Michael Dean Buescher at the Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. Paige wore an elegant Justin Alexander gown with a beaded illusion neckline, and jeweled and fabric buttons trailing down the chapel-length train. She also wore an ivory tulle veil from Giselle Bridal and her great grandmother’s aquamarine engagement ring. An ethereal garden-gathered bouquet of white and ivory peonies, roses and magnolias completed her look.

The couple was adamant about not seeing each other before the ceremony, and Michael did not want to know any details about Paige’s dress. The moment the two saw each other for the first time, as Paige’s father walked her down the aisle, is a special moment Paige and Michael will remember for the rest of their lives.

The reception was held at the Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market. After the newlyweds’ first dance to Van Morrison’s “Crazy Love,” guests mingled among long wooden farm tables decorated with greenery garland, spirea and white lilac, and Paige’s sorority sisters sang her the Zeta Tau Alpha wedding serenade.

Paige and Michael enjoyed their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and now happily reside in Austin, Texas.
