Katy Lang Weds John Sheets | Colorful Ballroom Wedding Captured by Kristen Edwards Photography

Katy and John’s wedding was full of bright colors and gorgeous decor all thanks to Leslie Herring Events who planned the event. We are loving the use of vibrant hues mixed with traditional elements for a springtime wedding. Kristen Edwards Photography expertly captured every precious moment and even some killer cake shots. From the bride: “Our wedding day was the perfect day! The girls started out the day getting ready at the venue with breakfast, snacks and mimosas! Once all of the girls were close to ready, John and I exchanged wedding gifts. He gave me a beautiful bracelet, and I gave him a new watch. The girls finished getting ready while the guys enjoyed a few beers. My dad and I had our first look at the venue which was very special for me. The church we were married in is the same church that my parents and grandparents were married in, so it was very special. After the ceremony, John and I were showered with rose petals as we exited the church to get into my grandfather’s 1956 Chevrolet. My grandfather drove us away from the church. After the remainder of the pictures were taken, the wedding party got on the party bus and drove around Enid and then onto the reception! John and I were greeted by all of our friends and family and enjoyed our first dance. After the father/daughter and mother/son dance, we enjoyed our cake and danced the night away. As the night was coming to an end we exited the venue with a confetti exit that was so much fun! My favorite wedding day memory was our first look. We were both nervous/excited to see each other. Once we saw each other, the day became so much easier and less stressful. It’s a great memory that Kristen Edwards captured perfectly.”
