Haley and Andre were first introduced in June of 2015. Following that evening, their paths continued to cross – at the gym, the pool and finally on campus at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. It was then Andre knew he couldn’t wait any longer to ask this gorgeous girl on a date. The two quickly bonded over their love for the Lord, their passion for working with children and their desire for adventure. From that moment, the couple was inseparable. One year later, Andre was ready to propose to the girl of his dreams. On a warm summer evening, Andre took Haley to their favorite spot on Lake Hefner to watch the sunset. There, he got down on one knee and proposed in the sweetest way.
The couple excitedly set a date and began planning. Inspiration for the color scheme was drawn from the bride’s favorite flower, a king protea, which meant beautiful hues of blush, mauve, raspberry and champagne accented with an abundance of organic greenery. The bride wore a stunning Allure lace mermaid gown with exquisite beading detail and a cathedral-length veil. Haley will always remember the special moment of walking down the aisle toward her groom, the man who had surpassed all her wildest dreams and completely stolen her heart, while holding tightly to the arm of her wonderful father. It was surreal.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a romantic candlelit reception inspired by vintage décor and dishes the bride’s mother had collected. After the newlyweds danced to their song, “White” by Tim Halperin, the party continued for hours before the couple jetted off to Punta Cana. The happy couple now resides in Oklahoma City where Haley is continuing her career as a speech pathologist and Andre began his pediatric residency.
