Colorful Rustic Oklahoma Wedding at The Springs | Kirby + Jared

Kirby and Jared were introduced by Kirby’s sister Kylie. Kylie brought Kirby along to a game night at Jared’s house and no one expected the sparks that would fly. After spending a few years together and the summer of 2014 thousands of miles apart, Jared began to plan the perfect proposal! On Labor Day, Kirby and Jared went to the lake with both their families. After a day of playing in the sun, Jared convinced Kirby to go to the gas station with him. Once there, she noticed a beautiful, wooden sailboat. After asking the owner to take them for a ride, Kirby and Jared were in the middle of the lake surrounded by never-ending royal blue water. In that blissful moment, Jared got down on one knee and asked Kirby to spend the rest of her life with him! She couldn’t have said, “yes” fast enough!

On June 12, 2015, Kirby Leigh Olson married Jared Blake Starks at The Springs of Edmond under green trees and gorgeous flower arrangements. The natural and organic wedding included beautiful hues of peach, cream and navy that were inspired by the colors of summer. The bridesmaids’ beautiful peach gowns from J. Crew tied into the color theme perfectly. Poppy Lane Design created a fresh bouquet of peonies, garden roses and ranunculus.

Kirby’s father Craig officiated the ceremony, sharing their love story with their closest friends and family. One of the most memorable moments from the wedding was when Kirby and Jared made their grand entrance into the reception as husband and wife.

The happy newlyweds went to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their honeymoon and currently reside in Oklahoma City.
