Fall Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Sarah Libby Photography | Kassy + Alex
September 13
Kassy and Alex shared mutual friends in college who introduced them to one another. The couple quickly hit things off and fell in love. When Kassy and Alex arrived at his family’s Christmas celebration years later, she was thrown off when he forgot to grab the pie or presents. Instead, Alex led Kassy down a candle-lit path to the courtyard where he knelt down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Elated, she said yes, and the couple celebrated with their families over a memorable Christmas dinner.
Kassy and Alex married on October 9, 2015, at Southwind Hills Barn. The wedding was traditional with muted colors and deep undertones of wine. Kassy walked down the aisle in a Casablanca Bridal gown embellished with lace appliques accompanied by a gorgeous champagne tulle cathedral veil and diamond teardrop earrings. The bride incorporated a special tradition into the day by placing a penny and sixpence in her left shoe that her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother wore on their wedding days. This long-standing tradition promises blessings of wealth and prosperity for the marriage.
After celebrating with family and friends, Kassy and Alex traveled to Maui, Hawaii for their honeymoon. The happy couple now resides in Edmond.
