Courtney Ramos and Kellen McLoughlin’s Romantic Wedding by Gibson Events

Courtney and Kellen met in seventh-grade Spanish class, and after two years of coy smiles, blushing cheeks and a wonderful friendship, they finally started dating freshman year of high school. Eleven years later, five of which were long distance, and a big move to Oklahoma, they finally made it to their long-awaited engagement. During an afternoon stroll in Courtney’s parent’s beautiful tree-lined neighborhood in California, Kellen popped the question, and of course she said yes!

The couple wanted a wedding that would represent them – fun-loving foodies who enjoy the company of loved ones and dancing the night away. The vision for their wedding day was a cozy farm-to-table dinner party dining al fresco under bistro lights with their closest friends and family. They wanted their wedding to be bright, colorful and full of life…just like them. Doing so brought an element of warmth and joy to the entire day.

What made their wedding special to them and their guests were the personal details. From day one, they knew Courtney’s brother, Matthew, would be the perfect person to officiate their wedding; he is compassionate, loving, feels so deeply, and has an amazing sense of humor. It was important to have someone marry Courtney and Kellen who knew each separately and together, and someone who grew up with the couple while watching their relationship grow.

Courtney had worked in the wedding planning industry in both California and Oklahoma, which gave her the opportunity to bring together amazing vendors from both states. It was important to her to work with a team of people she loved and trusted, and she accomplished just that!
