Elyse Nelson and Robert Wallace’s Natural Art Gallery Wedding by Ever Something
Elyse and Robert first met at a mutual friend’s house party in late 2009. That night of fun set the couple up for a lifetime of joy. For Elyse and Robert, it was truly being in the right place at the right time.
Robert’s proposal was fairytale perfect. He popped the question on the gorgeous beaches of Mexico, bright and early in the morning of the Fourth of July. Elated, Elyse said yes, and to this day, their engagement is one of the couple’s favorite memories.
On April 1, 2017, Elyse and Robert were married at the Living Arts of Tulsa, a unique venue in the heart of Tulsa’s historic Brady District. This contemporary arts gallery was the perfect setting for the bride’s vision of a nature-inspired aesthetic. The bride and groom incorporated their theme throughout the design of the wedding, using a green, white and pale pink color scheme.
Elyse looked stunning as she glided down the aisle toward her soon-to-be husband in an ivory mermaid-style gown with a lace blouse from Rue de Seine. With her bridesmaids by her side — adorned in lavender lace dresses, holding pink tulips — Elyse felt pure joy standing next to Robert during their intimate ceremony.
The reception featured a family-style dinner of fried chicken and mashed potatoes along with a vanilla cake, coated with a delicious strawberry buttercream frosting. The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away to their personal collection of vinyls. The couple gave each of their guests biodegradable paper hearts with wildflower seeds interwoven, a great gift for their garden-themed celebration.
After their big day, Elyse and Robert traveled to San Francisco, California, for their honeymoon. They are now enjoying their married life in Tulsa.
