Emily Beavers and Blake Brennan’s Preppy Rustic Oklahoma Wedding

Emily and Blake became fast friends in middle school when they met at a Casady School football game. They became inseparable after Blake asked Emily to be his girlfriend under the stars the summer after Emily graduated from high school. Over the next few years, Emily and Blake began growing their family with four playful puppies. After Blake’s paramedic pinning ceremony on May 15, 2015, Blake proposed to Emily, down on one knee under Christmas lights in front of pictures of their dogs holding signs that read “Will you marry me?”

Emily and Blake got married August 6, 2016, at the Enchanted Forest at Southwind Hills in Goldsby. The bride wore an ivory fit and flare gown by Allure Bridals that featured lace, a sweetheart neckline and a sheer plunge at the bodice. The bride accessorized with a floral pearl beaded belt by a.b. Ellie, a floor-length heirloom mantilla Homa veil featuring French lace, sapphire and diamond Penny Preville jewelry, and a delicate diamond cross Roberto Coin necklace gifted to her by the groom. The groom stunned in a midnight tuxedo with an ivory bow tie, pocket square and mother of pearl studs and cuff links by Steven Giles, and a Tag Heuer watch gifted to him by the bride.

Emily and Blake shared their first dance to “Feet Don’t Touch the Ground” by Stoney Larue. After a night full of dancing, family and friends sent off the blissful couple, tossing confetti from cones made out of vintage maps of their honeymoon location, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe in Truckee, California.

The couple lives in Oklahoma City where they grew up together. Blake serves on the Oklahoma City Fire Department, and Emily will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma City University this December.
