Pretty pumpkins and pops of gold make this fall Oklahoma wedding perfect inspiration for brides-to-be who love all things autumn. Allison and Grady’s oh-so-sweet story is below:

Allison and Grady exchanged vows on October 4, 2015, in an evening ceremony at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church followed by a reception at the Oklahoma History Center. Allison walked down the aisle in a trumpet style, champagne and ivory Martina Liana beaded lace gown, accented with a jeweled belt and chapel-length tulle veil. She wore pale pink Badgley Mischka heels and a vintage-inspired crystal bracelet and earrings. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length, gold-sequined Badgley Mischka gowns with a cowl back.

Tables were draped in black shantung, surrounded by gold Chiavari chairs topped with ivory floral arrangements with pops of blush and wine. Gold mercury glass and ivory ghost pumpkins completed the elegant fall tablescape. The wedding cake, displayed on black-sequined linens, included three tiers of lemon cake with lemon curd, accentuated by a delicate fondant bow and antique gold jeweled brooch. Individual pumpkin cake shooters served as the groom’s cake.

Guests enjoyed panoramic sunset views of the Capitol as the couple shared their first dance to “One Woman” by the Randy Rogers Band. Dinner included many of the couple’s favorites, including a Carb Station of sorts, complete with both a mashed potato and a mac ‘n cheese bar. The dance floor never seemed to empty as guests attempted to keep up with the groom’s self-proclaimed “liquid hips.” When hunger pangs hit after several hours on the dance floor, guests indulged in a late night snack and a favorite of Allison and Grady’s – a nacho bar.

Planning a wedding from five hours away, with Allison and Grady living and working in Kansas City, would have ordinarily been a stressful undertaking, however working with Leslie Herring Events and a team of wonderful vendors made the process manageable and enjoyable.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, relaxing during a blissful week at Secrets Resort at Maroma Beach.
