Fête Planned the Dreamiest Modern Fairytale Wedding at The Baumberhof

There are plenty of artful, maximalist details to fawn over throughout this modern fairytale wedding at The Baumberhof, but this couple’s love story is just as sweet! Teryl and Vlad first met in 2017 via online dating. Bride Teryl had just recently relocated to Washington D.C. and they were both ready to meet someone special, so they gave it a shot! All the love in the air throughout their luxe wedding is a testament to what can happen when you take a chance in romance. Vlad popped the question in April during the pandemic one lovely, intimate evening at Teryl’s parents’ house with a beautiful ring from Naifeh Fine Jewelry. When so much in the world was uncertain and scary, the two made a memory in taking a step that felt completely right and steadfast. They went into the wedding planning process knowing that their long-distance planning from Washington D.C. wouldn’t be easy, so they sought out Fête citing the importance of finding a team who understood them as a couple and could bring their vision to life from across the country.

Stately invitations designed by Eros Studios were sent out to guests ahead of Teryl and Vlad’s elegant outdoor ceremony filled with whimsical pastel florals from XO by Haleigh Kenney. Bride and groom did a first look which was a favorite for both, and chose to forego a traditional wedding party – instead, including family in meaningful ways like having the bride’s uncle officiate the ceremony. After they said “I do,” newlyweds and guests headed to the new conservatory at The Baumberhof for an artful reception dressed to the nines with modern décor and rentals from Fête, Mood Party Rentals, and Wooden Hearts Boutique in a breathtaking sunlight-dappled celebration of love (scroll past the gallery below to read the bride’s reaction to seeing their styled modern fairytale wedding reception for the first time). Delicious bites and beverages provided by Abbey Road Catering made for the perfect end to a perfect day, just before Teryl and Vlad made their exit as husband and wife!
