These shots are so hot, we had to double take at Fatima and Joseph’s urban boho engagement captured by Susan Alyse Photography around a few downtown Oklahoma City locales that set the mood perfectly for their Sedona elopement soon to come! Warm-toned photos like the ones in this gallery always tug at our heartstrings and these tell the story of the couple’s love thus far as well as hinting at what’s to come in their future. The two first met while working together as servers at their first job. Natural settings have always held a special place in Fatima and Joseph’s hearts as the Buffalo River in Arkansas was where the pair were hiking over one winter break when Joseph first popped the question! When Fatima was looking out admiring the views, he got down on one knee behind her and was holding her dream ring in hand once she turned around! Now, they are planning the boho-chic desert wedding of their dreams.
This cool couple has opted for an outdoor micro wedding at a hiking range in the Red Rocks Park of Sedona, Arizona in late November followed by a small reception at their Airbnb. Their color palette will consist of desert staples like terracotta, champagne, and rust with accents of sage and blush sprinkled in throughout, but its location and the views that will come along with it are certainly their favorite details about the big day, both bride and groom say. We see similarities between the urban architecture of downtown captured in these shots and their southwestern micro wedding destination – settings they achieved ahead of time at all their favorite OKC spots like Palo Santos, Farmers Public Market, and the romantic streetcars that run their routes under the city lights. Read on for a note from the talented photographer that captured their urban boho engagement in full terracotta-toned detail. Cheers to the soon-to-be Silvas!
From the photographer, Susan Alyse Photography: “For Fatima and Joseph’s downtown OKC engagement session, we spent the evening running all around the city. From drinks at their favorite plant-filled bar, sunset rooftop photos, to ending the night with streetcar rides at dusk – there is almost nothing we didn’t do. They were so fun to shoot. The session is young, fun and colorful. Hope you love!”
