Amy and Alex met while working together at Chesapeake Energy Corporation in 2012. After layoffs put them out of work, they kept in touch by sharing freelance job opportunities with each other. Two years later, Amy ended up getting a job at the place Alex worked and they found themselves spending a lot of time outside of work together. On Amy’s birthday, they shared their first kiss and have been inseparable ever since. Alex proposed to Amy while they were staying at a cabin in Beavers Bend the week before Christmas 2016. Alex, with his spontaneous nature, waited until the perfect moment to ask Amy to be his wife.

Amy and Alex celebrated their wedding on June 3, 2017, with a beautiful boho-industrial-styled wedding at the Holloway House. The space was filled with eucalyptus greenery, wooden farm tables, Edison bulb string lights, gold mercury glass accents and Turkish rugs. Many of the details of their wedding came together with the help of their friends. From the catering and bar, floral and room styling, makeup, and even the DJ and emcee, having friends involved made the whole thing that much more meaningful and special.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a pizza buffet and signature cocktails courtesy of 84 Hospitality Group. The couple made their grand exit, smiling and laughing the entire way, through a tunnel of sparklers.

One of Amy’s favorite things about the day was that Alex did a first look with his two daughters. Lily, a junior bridesmaid, and Violet, the flower girl, wanted their dresses to be a surprise for their dad to see on the day of the wedding, just like Amy’s dress. Their first look photos are some of the couple’s favorites!

The happy couple honeymooned in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, and currently resides in Oklahoma City.
