Each and every detail of Laura and Ryan’s wedding was expertly captured by The Tarnos, and we couldn’t love it more! Laura and Ryan are high school sweethearts from Edmond who met during their junior year of high school. After dating for almost nine years, Ryan decided the timing was perfect to ask Laura to be his wife. On a warm summer night in front of close friends and family, Ryan asked Laura to marry him with the striking Dallas skyline providing a romantic backdrop.
On a beautiful day on the first of May, Laura and Ryan’s wedding date had finally arrived. The wedding party prepared for the event at the Embassy Suites in Norman and rode together on a limousine bus to Southwind Hills Barn & Estate. The bride wore a gown by Berta of Bridal Boutique of Lewisville, which was handcrafted in Israel, and a handmade veil sewn by her bridesmaid’s mother. At 7 o’clock in the evening, the bride’s father escorted his only daughter down the aisle. Laura wore a string of pearls around her wrist given to her that morning by her mother as well as her mother-in-law’s grandmother’s ring. During the ceremony, the couple and guests were serenaded by an acoustic duet of “Cowboys and Angels.” Afterward, guests enjoyed bourbon-braised short ribs and chicken fried chicken. With friends and family having traveled from near and far, it was evident how much love was shared for the couple in the room that night.
Following the reception, Ryan surprised Laura with a helicopter ride for their grand exit. Somehow the momentous secret had been kept and she was completely surprised when the helicopter circled and began to descend. The couple was flown around Oklahoma City for an hour before returning to a limousine at Southwind Hills. After their magical evening, the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon in St. Lucia and returned to their home in Dallas.
