Kelly Jacques and Turner Hodges’ Tulsa Wedding at The Campbell Hotel

The Campbell Hotel, a historic gem located off Route 66 in Tulsa, was the wedding venue for Kelly Jacques and Turner Hodges’ classic celebration. Rich navy and gold with pops of mint green and classic florals were the perfect touch to this sweet couple’s spring nuptials.

Kelly and Turner’s story began on May 15, 2016, when the pair met through mutual friends in sunny Orlando. The couple was concerned that the spark they felt that week would have to be extinguished because they lived so far apart. Through FaceTime dates, a few road trips, and thousands of calls and texts from Oklahoma to Florida, the couple made their happily-ever-after possible knowing not even 1,216 miles could keep them apart. Turner was sure that Kelly was “the one.”

On New Year’s Eve, Turner popped the question during a party with their closest friends. The plan was for everyone to pop a balloon at midnight that contained a fortune for the New Year. When Kelly popped hers, it read, “Kelly will you marry me?” She quickly turned to find Turner on one knee and of course said yes!

On April 8, 2017, Kelly and Turner were married at The Campbell Hotel. Honoring Kelly’s Japanese heritage, she chose to follow the same tradition her mother did when she was a bride, which consisted of constructing 1,000 origami cranes before her wedding day. Kelly and her mom took the folded cranes and formed them into a striking five-foot chandelier that hung from the rafters directly above the couple at the ceremony. Guests were touched by the special meaning and work put into the statement piece. Kelly and her bridal party also created all the silk flower arrangements used as centerpieces.

The couple chose rich colors of navy and gold with pops of mint green to embrace their spring wedding. Also in the spirit of spring, the couple chose a gorgeous three-tier, all-white cake that had gold and mint ribbon embellishments at the bottom of each layer with Gerber daisies to complete the look. Their wedding was simply gorgeous from the mint bridesmaids’ gowns and bouquets of white calla lilies – made by the bride and her girls – to Kelly’s stunning sleeveless, ivory Monique Lhuillier gown and matching cathedral veil.

The happy couple honeymooned in Cancun and now resides in Tulsa.
