Pretty, pretty, pretty! Ali + Bryan’s rustic outdoor wedding and indoor reception is effortlessly lovely. The all white florals from The French Bouquet are simply perfection. Read more of their sweet story below:
Ali and Bryan met through mutual friends at work and hit things off. When Bryan asked Ali out to dinner, their plans were foiled twice by cliché Oklahoma tornados. Once they began dating, the couple was completely in sync. Two years later, Bryan decided to propose to Ali after coming up with the perfect plan.
After working late one night, Ali got home and was greeted by Jackson, the couple’s beagle. Unlike typical after-work greetings, Jackson was wearing a puppy tuxedo and had a ring with a sign tied around his neck that read, “Will you marry me, Ali?” She was shocked, but Bryan came in the room and assured her that this was the real thing and asked her to marry him. She said yes and the two spent the rest of the night sharing the good news with family and friends.
Alison Vetal married Bryan Ferguson on June 7, 2014, at the Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks, Oklahoma. Ali’s dreamy candlelight gown by Tara Keely from the Lazaro Collection featured a sweetheart strapless ruched silk bodice wrapped with an a.b. Ellie Collection belt. Her tulle ball gown skirt cascaded into a semi-cathedral length train. She wore a custom-designed Toni Federici cathedral veil of gossamer illusion with seed pearl and crystal edging. Borrowed pearl earrings and a natural bouquet completed Ali’s look, and she carried a handkerchief that her mother and grandmother carried at their weddings.
The couple wrote letters to each other instead of public vows, and they exchanged letters and gifts at their first look. It was a special time for the pair to enjoy each other’s company and relax before guests arrived.
The reception was also held at Five Oaks Lodge. The newlyweds’ first dance was to Matt Epps’ “This Old House.” Ali and Bryan enjoyed their honeymoon in Antigua before returning to their home in Tulsa.
