Rustic Elegant Outdoor Oklahoma Wedding | Amanda + Michael

Amanda and Mike met through mutual friends at a rooftop party on a spring night in New York City. Despite living in a large metropolitan area, they both share a love of nature and travel. Of the many adventures they’ve taken, the most memorable was a hiking trip in Big Sur, California where Mike planned a picturesque proposal. As the couple watched the sunset from the beach, they spotted dolphins jumping through the ocean and the scene created the perfect setting to propose.

Since Amanda is originally from Oklahoma, the couple couldn’t think of a better place to tie the knot than going back to her home state. On a beautiful weekend in November, friends and family, who traveled from 11 different states, gathered in Broken Bow, Oklahoma for a weekend-long celebration full of bonfires, barbecue, cabin living and romantic nuptials.

The idyllic outdoor affair had an elegant rustic feel featuring white flower arrangements of peonies, baby’s breath and petite roses. Flowers were strung throughout the arbor, aisle and barn where the couple’s wedding reception was held. The bride wore a custom ivory bodice dress with a silk organza skirt by Leanne Marshall. Amanda says her most memorable moment was walking down the aisle and seeing her future husband while holding tight to her father’s arm. It was an unexplainably powerful moment.

Guests spent the evening drinking Amanda and Mike’s signature cocktails, listening to live music, and playing corn hole and croquet while enjoying delicious bites from Tabb Singleton, a local chef and winner of Chopped on Food Network. After a storybook celebration, Amanda and Mike were off to their next adventure, the east coast of Australia, where they spent their honeymoon before returning home to the Big Apple.
