Malyn Saunders & Michael Daniels

Take a scroll through Malyn and Michael’s wedding and discover beautiful earth tones, chic decor, and a fairytale forest ceremony. Malyn met her beau through a mutual friend who set the two up on a blind date. Despite not knowing anything about one another, the two immediately hit things off and talked for hours. Little did the two know that this blind date would eventually lead them to find their forever person! Michael pulled off a dream proposal by coordinating with one of Malyn’s employees to set up headshots. When Malyn arrived at the photographer’s chosen location for headshots, she found Michael waiting for her with a romantic picnic. Michael read a sweet letter to his future bride-to-be and then got down on one knee. Of course, Malyn said “YES” to the love of her life, and the two began planning their fairytale wedding.

On an August evening, Malyn and Michael said, “I do,” with an outdoor ceremony that felt as if you entered inside a fairytale book. The luscious greenery of the forest backdrop made for a truly magical affair. Mayln and Michael created a very intentional guest list completed with only their closest family and friends. The smaller guest count allowed for the couple to have an intimate dinner and the ability to talk and dance with everyone. Their beautiful reception space included chic decor and rentals from Party Pro Rents and gorgeous blooming florals. In addition, Sweet Devotion Cakery sweetened the room with a bridal cake and dessert bar. The couple danced the night away with guests before getting some shut-eye at the Dominion House in anticipation of their mini-moon in Oklahoma City at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.

Malyn and Michael’s Favorite Wedding Details:

“We incorporated several African traditions with Michael and the groomsmen wearing Dashikis and also jumping the broom during the ceremony. It was important to include these traditions, especially since interracial marriages have only been legal for 54 years. We are proud to represent two cultures becoming one!”
