Michelle Dry and Jerrad Richards’ Fall Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Brianna Record Photography
Michelle and Jerrad met on a date coordinated by a mutual friend. They both work at Devon Energy in Oklahoma City and had indirectly worked together on a few projects. Their first date was at Devon Energy’s presentation of The Nutcracker ballet. The evening was strictly supposed to be a date as “friends.” While on the double date, it was evident they had many of the same interests and enjoyed each other’s company. After the evening, they went their separate ways, both eager to meet again. At this point in time, both Michelle and Jerrad were not seeking a relationship, yet their mutual friend remained patient and rather persistent in making sure Jerrad was aware of Michelle’s singleness and uniqueness of heart. The couple’s mutual friend’s efforts would prove successful and they quickly became an item.
Months later on Valentine’s Day, after a romantic dinner at Boulevard Steakhouse, Jerrad asked for Michelle’s hand in marriage. In a perfect private moment, Jerrad expressed his innermost affections for Michelle. She, too, expressed her devotion ending with a resounding, “Yes,” and their eight-month wedding journey began.
The couple wanted a wedding theme of rustic elegance inspired by the natural fall hues of blush, burgundy, navy and gold. The theme was represented in the bride’s variety bouquet with touches of beautiful roses in different shades, luscious burgundy peonies and ranunculus, along with antique hydrangeas. The ceremony included a classic violinist and vocalists as well as a pianist. As Michelle was escorted down the aisle by her father, she looked absolutely gorgeous in her ivory all-corded lace gown with a high neckline and gold statement earrings. She also wore the groom’s day-of-the-wedding gift, a gold cable bracelet with diamonds.
One of the most memorable moments for Jerrad was seeing his bride for the first time, and for Michelle, it was receiving a heart-shaped locket from Jerrad’s mother as a token of her blessing.
Completing the evening, the couple left in a grand exit with LED balloons and drove away in a 1940 Nash Ambassador after a day they would never forget.
