Modern March: Inspiration for a Timeless Bride in the Modern World

We’re so incredibly excited to reveal this year’s fashion editorial, Modern March: the tale of a modern day bride with an ode to the past. Our unbeatable team of Oklahoma wedding vendors created a scene that Jo March herself would have wanted to exchange vows amidst. With blooming, over-the-top floral installations from Poppy Lane Design at every turn and stunning imagery from Tammy Odell Photography, it’s hard not to fall in love with each vignette as this romantic gallery unfolds. What better venue to host our period-drama-worthy shoot than the historic Tulsa Garden Center? The outdoor landscaping is ideal for any garden-lover with stone pathways, trickling creeks and Oklahoma forestry. The on-property mansion features timeless architecture in every light-flooded room. Our model bride was positively glowing in each gown from some of the finest bridal boutiques and custom designers in Oklahoma. The individual gown styles may vary, but they each carry the same timeless, feminine theme. Adorned in gems from one of our favorite local jewelers, Naifeh Fine Jewelry, she was certainly fit to “make her own way in this world.” Soft, tousled hairstyles with loose tendrils and incredible makeup artistry have our jaws on the floor! Tease to Please Hair and Makeup’s feminine hairstyles with MLB Artistry’s romantic makeup was an expert pairing that became the cherry on top of each bridal look. The oh-so-sweet picnic treats were the most delicious addition to our photoshoot – Sweet Devotion Cakery creates exquisite cakes, cookies and pastries that are worthy of a photoshoot of their own!
