What a festive and fun New Year’s for Adrienne and Cody! These two lovebirds will no doubt enjoy this extra special holiday each and every year – read on for more details of their big day:
On New Year’s Eve 2014, a dream came true not just for two people, but for two families; Adrienne Michelle Elias married Cody Michael Peacock. Cody, the only son of Michael and Pam Peacock, grew up playing baseball in Covington, Oklahoma. Adrienne, the daughter of Bill and Amy Elias, grew up with a brother, Kris, and sister, Danielle, spending much of their days riding horses in Edmond. After high school graduation, Cody would go on to play baseball at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, while Adrienne attended Oklahoma State University. Both earned degrees in business and eventually found themselves working together at Enogex.
Their paths crossed when co-workers intervened and brought the two strangers together. After only a few dates, Adrienne and Cody knew their relationship was something special. The next three years flew by until one day the couple knew in their hearts that it was time to get married.
On a summer day in 2014, Cody pulled off a perfect proposal as he dropped to his knee on the banks of the Potomac River at Mount Vernon in Washington D.C. Right then, Adrianne and Cody’s parents knew their prayers had been answered. Their son and daughter had found the perfect person.
The wedding date was set for New Year’s Eve and the planning began immediately. Adrienne and Cody wanted the wedding to reflect their Oklahoma roots while echoing the black-tie glamour of New Year’s Eve. The Civic Center Music Hall’s Hall of Mirrors overlooked Oklahoma City’s Opening Night giving the perfect backdrop for their reception. The evening was filled with color in hues of gold, silver, navy blue and apple green with hints of deep red. With an amazing crew of vendors, the couple had the most memorable New Year’s Eve of all.
