Natalie and Will’s ranch wedding in Tulsa has the coziest vibe and needless to say, we are big fans! Read more about how they met and their beautiful celebration below:
Between running laps in track, Natalie and Will managed to develop a friendship that quickly blossomed into something more. Will was the fast boy all the girls loved to watch, but Natalie played it cool until Will told her he liked her. The feeling was mutual and she reciprocated his feelings.
Fast-forward a few years to the day Will woke Natalie up with breakfast and a handmade book. The pages were filled with attributes Will used to describe their life together: loving God, serving others, being adventurous and loving each other. To match the couple’s adventurous spirit, each page had a corresponding activity. The fun day led up to a surprise campfire where Will proposed to Natalie amidst candles, roses and memories of their time spent together. When the couple got home, their family and friends were excitedly waiting to celebrate their engagement.
Natalie Paige Tims married Will Adam Mortensen at The Barn at Vive Le Ranch in Tulsa on January 10, 2015. Natalie looked radiant in a fit-and-flare gown with a sweetheart neckline, horsehair-trimmed tiered tulle skirt and sweeping train. She wore a pearl-trimmed veil and her mother’s bracelets, and carried a bouquet of white ranunculus, lavender rose, Sahara roses, succulents and white hydrangeas.
Natalie had never wanted to write her vows, but four weeks before the wedding she came down with pneumonia. After Will spent two weeks with her in the hospital, she changed her mind; she had more to say to him than just “I do.” Seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day was a special moment for the couple, and Natalie cherishes the time spent with her father waiting to walk down the aisle.
The reception was held at Inspired Events and the newlyweds’ first dance was to Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance.” Natalie and Will enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, before returning to their home in Tulsa.
