Oklahoma NYE Wedding at The Mayo Hotel | Nicole + Grant

New Year’s Eve Weddings are such a blast, and this Oklahoma wedding on NYE is uber festive! Read on for more details from Nicole and Grant’s big day:

On New Year’s Eve 2014, Nicole Marie Revella said, “I do,” to the love of her life, Grant Samuel Allen.

Grant proposed to Nicole the previous year on Christmas Day. When trying to finalize a wedding date, both knew they wanted a big celebration so New Year’s Eve came to mind. With the date locked in at The Mayo Hotel, Nicole, who is one of the lead wedding coordinators at The Mayo, spent the next year planning her dream wedding with her amazing Mayo Event + Design team.
The wedding celebrations started with a fabulous bridal luncheon at The Mayo, hosted and designed by two of Nicole’s dearest friends. The festivities continued with a gorgeous rehearsal dinner at Southern Hills Country Club where guests toasted to the happy couple.

On the day of the wedding, church bells rang and the trumpets blared as Nicole, dressed in an Austin Scarlett drop waist gown, walked down the aisle with her father to meet her groom.

The cocktail hour took place in the stunning Grand Hall of The Mayo where the bride and groom made their entrance on the grand staircase. Dinner followed in the awe-inspiring historic Crystal Ballroom. Guests were greeted with champagne escort cards and were instructed to “Take a Sip and Find Your Seat.” The ballroom was decorated with lush white flowers, floating candles, sequin linens and gold ribbon hanging over the dance floor. In the middle of the room stood a seven-tiered show-stopping cake, which came with a sparkler surprise during the cake cutting. After the delicious dinner, the band, Lost Wax, kicked off an epic dance party.

As the clock stroked midnight, gold confetti fell from the ceiling of the ballroom. Nicole and Grant rang in the New Year with their family and friends singing out loud to the band’s rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” mashed up with “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars.

After midnight, the party continued in The Mayo’s Penthouse Rooftop Lounge with a whiskey and cigar bar and late-night bites. Nicole & Grant both agreed it truly was the best day ever.
