Oklahoma Wedding at McGranahan Barn Captured by Holly Gannett | Mallory + Joe
July 22
Mallory and Joe met when they were kids growing up in Chickasha. Their mothers were in the same organizations, their brothers were close friends, and Mallory spent a lot of time hanging out with Joe’s younger sister. Throughout high school the two dated a few times, but never got serious. During Mallory’s sophomore year of college, they reconnected and made it official. Life for the happy couple hasn’t been the same since!
After a late work meeting, Mallory arrived home to nothing out of the ordinary. As she was raising the garage door, Joe was standing there surrounded by candles, lights and photos of them. Joe, down on one knee, and through sweet and shaky words, asked Mallory if she would be his wife. Of course she said yes, and the two went inside to join their family and friends who were there to congratulate them. Mallory was blown away by Joe’s perfect and thoughtful proposal.
On April 9, 2016, Mallory walked down the aisle with both of her brothers to the last row of chairs where her dad was waiting to walk her the rest of the way to her future husband. Their close friend Josh Gresham officiated the wedding. The couple’s wedding theme was rustic chic with light spring colors and touches of gold. Mallory and Joe couldn’t have been happier to be marrying their true love.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon celebrating in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and currently reside in Oklahoma City.
