Allison and Jorge met while she was studying abroad in Costa Rica. It was the weekend of the University of Oklahoma vs. the University of Texas football game and since Allison was out of the country, she made plans to watch the game at a bar on the beach. Jorge bet against Allison that Texas would beat Oklahoma and the loser would buy drinks. Allison’s Oklahoma team won the game that day, but Jorge would claim they were both winners. After dating for some time, Jorge planned an intimate proposal for Allison at her apartment.
Allison and Jorge were married January 30, 2015, at a courthouse and later that March they exchanged personal vows with family, and hosted a reception afterward to celebrate the marriage. Their wedding included calm colors centered on light pinks and purples. They wanted their day to feel relaxed and be a celebration with family and friends.
The couple wasn’t worried about keeping with the normal wedding traditions; they just wanted a day that was unique and fit their personalities. They served tasty barbecue sandwiches followed by a delectable dessert bar with a wide assortment to treat everyone’s sweet tooth. The biggest hit of the night for the newlyweds was the DJ. Allison and Jorge loved a particular song by a Costa Rican band and insisted on it being played at their wedding, even though no one knew the song but them. At first, guests did not know what was going on, but by the end of the song, all of their families were dancing together and having a wonderful time. It was truly an unforgettable moment!
After dancing the night away, Allison and Jorge traveled to Asia for their honeymoon. The couple now resides in Miami, Florida.
