High school sweethearts Katie and Steed tied the knot in a rustic spring Oklahoma wedding with the help of the wedding planning team at Embellished Weddings! Steed had his eye on Katie for a few years during high school, but they didn’t hit it off until a football game his senior year. He asked Katie to grab food with him and a friend after the game, and she agreed if she could also bring a friend. After a few dates, Steed asked Katie to be his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. They have been best friends ever since.
The pair had been looking at engagement rings but Katie didn’t know when a proposal would come. She fell in love with one particular ring and Steed bought it the very next day. Three months later Steed planned a picnic overlooking Lake Eufaula. After exploring the national park, Steed asked Katie to marry him and she immediately said yes. She was so surprised that he bought the ring she picked out and immediately FaceTimed her mom to show her excitement and celebrate their engagement.
