We are smitten with this sage green party in the garden. With sage green accents and blooming white florals, Caroline and Connor’s garden party wedding is one you don’t want to miss. Caroline and Connor met in middle school at church camp. They remained friends until their junior year of high school, when they started dating. Exactly seven years later, on their “dating anniversary,” the couple said “I do” with a sage green garden party wedding at Mansion at Woodward Park.
The couple started their wedding day off with a pre-ceremony refreshment hour. Guests were greeted with a pink spritzer garnished with a pansy. Perfect for a garden party wedding! Next, guests began moving outside for the ceremony to take place. However, right before the ceremony, it began to rain with no end in sight. Guests quickly made their way back inside, and the couple decided to hold their ceremony inside the mansion. Surrounded closely by all their friends and family, Caroline and Connor said their “I do’s.” Although the ceremony did not go as planned, Caroline describes it as “beautiful and intimate” and wouldn’t have it any other way.
After the ceremony, the rain finally cleared, and guests headed over for a cocktail hour. Just Catering by Orr passed out appetizers and boozy popsicles to help everyone stay cool. Once cocktail hour ended, guests headed into a tented reception complete with decor and rentals from Marianne’s Rentals and Party Pro Rents. Inside the sage green garden party on gold shelves, guests found a glass of champagne with their seating card that directed them to their table for a seated dinner. We love this idea! Sage green menus and blooming white flowers adorned each tabletop, along with monogrammed napkins. Toward the end of the night, the couple had light-up cowboy hats and flower crowns brought out for guests on the dance floor. The dance party ended with a bang when confetti cannons popped for the last song. The couple waved goodbye to their family and friends as they finished their night with a sparkler send-off. From the bride on her favorite wedding detail: “When guests entered our cocktail hour, they were greeted by our signature drinks on beautiful tiered stands. Connor’s drink was named ‘The Buzz Cut’ and mine was ‘The Blonde Bombshell.’ Just Catering by Orr passed out appetizers throughout cocktail hour and boozy popsicles to help everyone stay cool!”
