Whimsical Oklahoma Wedding from Panned 2 Perfection | Haley + Colby

Haley and Colby’s love was ignited when they were introduced through mutual friends in December 2010. The couple’s romance reached a milestone when Colby took Haley to her favorite Oklahoma City restaurant, The Melting Pot, and popped the question over two glasses of Merlot. An evening of joyful celebration ensued in Bricktown at Murphy’s Piano Bar.

The wedding planning got a kick-start with the help of wedding planner Amanda Sikich of Planned 2 Perfection. When the wedding weekend finally arrived, the women attended a darling bridesmaids’ luncheon in the home of Kim Wilmes. The tabletops were bursting with bright summer shades such as turquoise, magenta and gold while the blushing bride looked lovely in a coral sundress. The rehearsal dinner was held at The Plaza Restaurant in Altus, Oklahoma.

Haley Wilmes married Colby Allen Anderson in the First United Methodist Church in Altus, on June 14, 2014. The bride’s father, Tim Wilmes, walked her down the aisle. The bride looked stunning in a Romona Keveza strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, lace bodice and silk taffeta skirt. She wore a pair of stunning silver, peep-toe Jimmy Choo stilettos. She completed her look with diamond earrings borrowed from her grandmother, Joanne Wilmes, and a diamond bracelet purchased as a gift from Haley’s father. Haley wore something borrowed, something blue, something old and something new as she stepped into the church and saw Colby for the first time. It was the most memorable moment of the ceremony.

The bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets featured flowers in a charming mix of summer shades including deep red, golden yellow, light pink and leafy green, all crafted by Dulaney’s in Oklahoma City.

Haley’s matron of honor, Katey Chambers, and bridesmaids, Rachael Bailey and Caitlin Anderson, stood faithfully by her side in latte-colored dresses, each a different style, from Moliere Bridal. Colby’s team was filled with best man Ricky Williams and groomsmen Billy Bates and Josh Wilmes. The men wore grey suits, tan-colored ties and Craspedia boutonnieres. Anna Thornbrough danced down the aisle as the flower girl in a beige dress and a flower crown dotted with red and yellow flowers that matched the bridal bouquets. Casyn Anderson looked dapper as the ring bearer in a miniature version of the groom’s attire.

The whimsical reception was hosted at the home of the bride’s father in Altus. The guests celebrated under a canopy tree decorated with lights under a sweeping white tent. The romantic glow of the soft yellow lights gave the space the perfect feeling of love. Floral arrangements sprouted out of every table in bright yellows, deep greens and fiery reds. Tea lights floated in vases, carefully placed among the succulents and mossy green plants. The green and gold tabletop design and fresh flower arrangements in tall, thin glass vases completed the fairytale theme of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The couple’s closest friends and family hopped and bopped all night on the dance floor provided by Xcell Productions. Haley and Colby danced for the first time as man and wife to “All of Me” by John Legend. The evening’s events included other traditional wedding rituals like the bouquet and garter toss.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Anderson continued their celebration in Turks and Caicos at The Sommorset in Grace Bay. They currently reside in Altus where Haley is a first grade teacher, and Colby is an IT Technician and Communications Programmer.
