Hilary and Brandon met during their junior year at the University of Oklahoma. It was love at first sight; his warm personality and dimples stole her heart. When the time came to propose, Brandon knew Hilary wanted to be completely surprised. One random afternoon she opened the refrigerator and there sat a bottle of champagne, roses and a sign reading, “Will you marry me?” Of course she said yes, and the wedding planning began.
The happy couple was married on January 9, 2016, at the First Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City. Hilary walked down the aisle in a custom-made drop waist beaded Ysa Makino gown. The ruffled court train was stunning as her father walked her down the aisle. The bride and groom said their vows in front of their closest friends and family.
After the ceremony, guests were asked to celebrate the newlyweds on the 14th floor of the Skirvin Hilton. Once the elevator doors opened to the top floor, the guests were greeted with deep elegant blues and glamorous sparkle. Hilary and Brandon danced to “Making Memories of Us” by Keith Urban for the first time as husband and wife. After the champagne toasts, wonderful speeches, and elegant cake-cutting, it was time for the party to begin. Family and friends spent the rest of the reception dancing the night away.
Hilary and Brandon jetted off to their honeymoon in St. Lucia, before returning home to Norman where Hilary is continuing her doctorate and Brandon works in law enforcement.
