Casual and elegant can totally be conveyed at once and this boho brunch wedding at Coles Garden Wedding and Event Venue is perfect proof! Courtney and Michael first met when Courtney moved to Oklahoma from Illinois on a whim with her sister in 2017. Courtney started working as a dental assistant in a residency program at OU College of Dentistry where Michael had just graduated dental school and started the residency program in which he was working. Another fun fact is that Michael’s parents met in a similar way, and his dad is a dentist while his mom is a dental hygienist like Courtney, who says she loves the fun of getting to work in the same dental office together! In their boho brunch wedding, guests could stay close by in some of the best accommodations the city has to offer like the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel and the Renaissance Waterford Oklahoma City. Bride Courtney stunned in a strappy V-neck gown purchased in St. Louis but brought back to Avari Bridal for some custom beading additions and she looked oh-so-beautiful, though she says she simply couldn’t stop crying as she was walking down the aisle! Neutrals like peach, mauve, and terracotta combine to create subtle elegance in elements like hand-lettered calligraphy on place cards by Eros Studios down to assorted dessert options from Amy Cakes. Another one of the bride’s favorite details about their boho brunch wedding was the adorable wedding programs. Courtney wanted them to look like a newspaper and hoped that guests would feel like they were reading a Sunday paper to tie in with the Sunday morning brunch vibe. That was exactly the look they achieved between delicious breakfast catering and bartending from Abbey Road Catering, who provided so many options for this terracotta-toned boho brunch wedding. Read on for a note from the bride about one of her favorite wedding details and how it came to be. Cheers to the Hoopers!
From the bride: “From the moment we had started planning, Michael was all about having a brunch wedding. We are both laid back and pretty easygoing, so we really just wanted it to be a carefree and relaxing day. I ended up loving the idea of a brunch wedding so we had a Sunday brunch celebration! Abbey Road Catering put together the dreamiest brunch menu with bottomless mimosas and the most amazing waffles I’ve ever had!”
