Alexandra Savage and David Jensen’s Glam Oklahoma Wedding at Spain Ranch
Alexandra and David met through a single’s group through Life Church in 2014. The couple went on vacation with Alex’s family to Telluride, Colorado, and on New Year’s Eve 2015, Dave had plans to propose to Alex. Dave and Alex rode a gondola into town for a fancy dinner, and then walked around town looking for the “Ski Tree,” a Christmas tree made out of old pairs of recycled skis. Alex was determined to find the Ski Tree, as she had wishful thinking that Dave might propose. After walking around for half an hour in freezing temperatures, the couple decided to head back to the cabin. As they rode back in their private gondola, Dave got down on one knee, told Alex how much he loved her, and that he couldn’t imagine spending the rest of his life without his best friend. Through joyful tears, Alex said, “Yes!”
Alexandra Savage and David Jensen wed on July 2, 2016, at Spain Ranch in Jenks, Oklahoma. Alex looked stunning in her Hayley Paige dress with a lace ivory bodice and sweetheart neckline. The bride carried a beautiful arrangement of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus and peonies. Alex enlisted the help of EB2 Events to make her dream wedding happen, and the colors of rose gold, ivory, blush and gold helped to create the formal and elegant style she wanted. Alex was escorted down the aisle by her father, William Savage, where she met David in front of the unity cross that he had built for the ceremony. The couple shared their first dance to “Best Friend” by Jason Mraz. The couple took dance lessons before the wedding to choreograph a beautiful combination of steps, so their first dance was quite meaningful to both of them.
The cake created by Anne’s Bakery was a five-tier confection featuring flavors of vanilla, red velvet and orange dreamsicle. One of the most fun memories from the wedding was when the couple cut the cake at the reception. The song “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was playing in the background while Alex surprised David by being the first to shove cake in his face!
After the celebration, the couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. The bride and groom currently reside in Tulsa where Alex is a second-grade teacher, and David is a financial advisor.
