Everyone was all smiles and ready to see this Tulsa couple wed after their engagement shoot captured by Laura Eddy Photography around the grand property of the Philbrook Museum. Sydney and Justin first met at the University of Arkansas during their freshman year! Their paths crossed through mutual friends the very first semester, and they quickly became close. After years of friendship, they officially started dating junior year and have been together ever since! Now Sydney and Justin have tied the knot in a June ceremony and we just can’t wait to see how it all played out! With the help of planner Embellished Weddings, it’s hard to imagine anything but a dreamy scene as Sydney described their wedding style of classic, romantic, and ethereal details. They incorporated champagnes, black, white, and plenty of greenery while keeping things simple since they wanted celebration and fun to be the primary focus for all guests! The pair were most excited for the incredible cocktail hour views that would be provided by The Mayo Hotel rooftop – of both the iconic Oklahoma sunset and scenic Tulsa. This couple thought of everything, and especially the inclusion of their fur baby in a few engagement shots as well. We’re right there with this pup that looks overjoyed for his owners and we can hardly wait to see this Tulsa couple wed. Read on for the sweet story of how Justin popped the question to Sydney. Cheers to the Lakeys!

From the bride on how he asked: “Justin and I moved to Boston two years ago, an amazing and new opportunity for both of us. This new location became very important and impactful on our relationship, as it pushed us both out of our comfort zones and closer together. Justin organized the proposal in our apartment living room in downtown Boston, the day before Valentine’s Day (he likes a surprise). Both of our parents flew in unbeknownst to me, and after working an hour late and taking a shared Uber ride, I finally made it home and was completely surprised with candles, rose petals, pictures of us – like the works. He proposed there, and it was the easiest yes. Justin had an entire weekend planned with surprises from that moment forward. It was the most romantic weekend, and he honestly swept off my feet!”
