Lauren Langholz and Dylan Seibert’s Romantic Neutral Winter Wedding
While their families knew each other for ages, Lauren and Dylan first remember meeting at Booker T. Washington High School. Dylan was a senior football player and Lauren a sophomore varsity cheerleader. From the moment they met, they knew it was something special. Their long distance relationship quickly began when Dylan went to play football at the University of Oklahoma, then at the University of Houston. Lauren also attended the University of Oklahoma but made sure to attend every home game for Houston. After nearly five years, it was finally time for Dylan to pop the question.
Dylan flew Lauren to her favorite place, New York City, for a long weekend. After a day of Lauren’s favorite things – breakfast at Tiffany’s, lunch at Serendipity and a Broadway show – Dylan made reservations at the 21 Club. While there, he presented her with a box that contained several boxes. Each box held a letter to Lauren and a prayer over their past and future. In the final letter with the ring, he prayed to have Lauren say yes to their future together, which she did joyfully.
A long engagement allowed them plenty of time to fully enjoy the experience and plan the perfect day. The couple always dreamt of a classic, winter wedding. They incorporated neutral shades, floating candles and natural greenery for the January wedding. The two were married at First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa by Dr. Jim Miller, the pastor who baptized them both. Family and tradition were evident throughout the entire wedding, from the sentimental ceremony to the reception filled with hundreds of family and friends at Southern Hills Country Club. A special surprise song from the bride’s father during the father-daughter dance left the bride and the whole room in tears.
The day was truly idyllic as icicles created a winter wonderland for the couple. Lauren’s gorgeous Pronovias gown, complete with a flowing train, stunned against the winter backdrop. Family and friends surprised the couple by traveling through the weather, even all the way from Shanghai, to join the celebration. Lauren and Dylan’s fairytale wedding lasted late into the night as they partied the night away with their guests.
The happy couple is now finally in the same city, enjoying marital bliss in Tulsa.
